Artist Jessica Dalrymple loves nature deeply. This informs all aspects of her life: painting, teaching, studying the environment, growing plants. She also explores the intersection of nature and the city, – clearly rooting for nature to gain over concrete and plastic, and offer a more serene environment for humans.

Her caring attitude to the environment translates to the art world. She has been an early collaborator of Gallery Particulier, generously supporting our mission with her soulful personality.

Reflective, she enjoys being alone when she gathers materials for her art, or is at work in her studio.

While her work is strongly focused on nature, she experiments widely with form and media to best represent the environment and what it means to her. She uses photos that she cuts up, she collages images, and paints over. She uses oils, and watercolors, she collaborates with other artists on single pieces. Imaginative, and highly skilled work!

She is connected to Gowanus Arts who are strong believers in expanding the reach of art as practiced by Gallery Particulier, and have been providing support to our efforts.
