Gallery Particulier artist Amir Bey will be conducting tarot readings at the Triangulation exhibition on Thursdays from 12-5 PM using the original tarot that he designed, The Equinox Celebration Tarot. It may be the only tarot directly derived from 3-D carvings in stone.
Recently he has added a new dimension to this unique tarot, with “Lunar Discs,” made of copper. The querent (the person consulting the oracle) takes the 36 discs that represent the cards of the tarot and plays/shuffles/spins the coin-like discs and once they have finished, selects 3 discs and places them in a triangle. Each Lunar Disc has a code for each card stamped on it; after forming the triangle, the corresponding cards are placed next to its Lunar Disc and the reading happens.
This process seems to recall the original placement of the cards as they were being carved. Its process goes beyond what the cards are capable of. This new development happened during the Lunar Eclipse period of October 28th, 2023.
Readings are $50. The Deck and accompanying book are $50. There is a book of the images only, The Equinox Celebration Tarot Reader, where tarot images are selected randomly after spontaneously opening the book; $25.
