Gallery Particulier has some thrilling updates and experiences to share with our friends and donors and collectors. We want to express our gratitude to all for being a part of our artistic community, as this support and dedication have helped us reach this significant milestone.
Nonprofit Status: We are happy to announce that the New York State Department has granted Gallery Particulier nonprofit status. This is a momentous step in our journey. Our newfound status opens several doors of opportunity for us, allowing us to advance our mission-driven initiatives, apply for grants, welcome volunteers, and further expand our impact in the community.
One of the key benefits of our nonprofit status is the ability to receive tax-free donations from generous supporters. This financial support will be instrumental in the following areas:
- Community Outreach: We will be able to enhance and expand our outreach programs, creating a greater impact in the communities we serve.
- High School Outreach: We are thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with local high schools, where we connect students directly with our local artists as they host their artworks.
- Artists’ Shows: Through contributions, we will be able to cover the costs associated with putting up both solo and group shows for our talented artists, providing them with a much needed platform to showcase their work.
- Community Engagement Events: Our nonprofit status enables us to actively participate in community events, such as the Van Alen Block Party and the Arts Gowanus Open Studios, where we can connect with our communities and foster meaningful relationships.
- Insurance: Funding raised will also assist us in securing comprehensive insurance coverage to protect the artworks that people host in their homes, or that are shown at the Gallery.
- Presence costs: Donations will contribute to website maintenance, administration, and maintaining an engaging social media presence, to further amplify our reach.
We are truly excited about this new chapter in our journey and are committed to utilizing all resources at our disposal to further our mission of promoting artistic expression and enriching our communities through the arts.
We extend our deepest gratitude for everyone for the continued support and hope that supporters of the Gallery will join us in celebrating this significant achievement. Together, we can make a lasting impact in the world of art and beyond.
