The Word event brought together poets, storytellers, musicians, and five of our artists: A Shawn McKinney, Grace Nkem, Amir Bey, Srishti Dass, and Matthew Perez! They painted live, as a way to connect with the public. We also exhibited works by our artists in the beautiful parlor of the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture – an elegant Elizabethan mansion on Prospect Park West.

It was a treat to work on our mission – expanding the reach of art – with such a committed audience, in lovely surroundings, with drinks in hand and appetizers to enjoy! Weather collaborated!
