We’re thrilled to announce a new alliance with renowned artist Rodney Ewing, whose powerful work was recently featured in the Brooklyn Museum’s Brooklyn Artists show. Ewing’s art, deeply rooted in history, memory, and the Black experience in America, challenges us to confront the past while envisioning new futures.

As part of NYC Mosaic: Corner x Corner, opening April 1 and curated by Justin Freeman, we will be showcasing selections from Ewing’s Sanctuary City project. This series explores themes of refuge, belonging, and the layered complexities of place—fitting perfectly within our mission to present art that sparks dialogue and connection.

Freeman, a Black activist and community organizer, shares a deep commitment to issues of social justice with Ewing—including the protection of immigrants and the fight for human rights. Both veterans, their experiences inform their work and advocacy, making this collaboration especially meaningful. Freeman’s curatorial vision brings together artists whose work reflects the social, political, and cultural realities of life in Brooklyn today.

Join us in celebrating Rodney Ewing’s work and our commitment to bringing thought-provoking art to new audiences. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for this exciting exhibition!
