Last night at Gallery Particulier, the opening of Body Positivity, Gender Euphoria drew a vibrant and diverse crowd, filling the gallery with voices, warmth and connection. The evening was a celebration of creativity in all its forms. With works honoring diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, including powerful representations of trans lives, the show affirms visibility and insists on joy at a moment when queer rights are under renewed threat.
The program featured a panel discussion moderated by Racquel Chevremont, who curated the exhibition. Speaking to the heart of the show, she reminded us: “Queerness is not just something to be tolerated—it is something to be celebrated. This exhibition is about ensuring our communities remain visible, protected, and embraced through art.” The participating artists joined her in sharing their perspectives, offering personal reflections on how their work connects to identity, liberation, and the euphoria of embodiment.
No opening is complete without a chance to relax and connect. Guests enjoyed bites, drinks, and time to mingle, filling the space with warmth and solidarity. At the center of it all were the works themselves—brilliant, layered, and unapologetically queer—inviting us to imagine bodies and identities beyond stereotypes, and to revel in the creativity that springs from them.
The opening night affirmed what this exhibition sets out to do: to create a space where art and community come together to celebrate queerness, protect it, and make it shine.
Body Positivity, Gender Euphoria is now open at Gallery Particulier, 281 Maple Street, Brooklyn. Come be part of this powerful celebration. Open Wednesday afternoons, Saturdays and by appointment. contact@galleryparticulier.org
