What is beauty? Is it a bold red lipstick, a breathtaking voice, the serenity of nature, or the joy of being in a room filled with kindred spirits? At Because, Beauty—our latest storytelling speakeasy at Gallery Particulier—we discovered that beauty is all of these things and more.
We gathered in our intimate space, surrounded by art and anticipation, ready to listen, share, and celebrate the many ways beauty shapes our lives. One woman took us deep into her relationship with lipstick—not just as a cosmetic, but as a statement, a memory, an inheritance. Others spoke of nature, of the way sunlight catches leaves just right, of the feeling of being small under a vast sky. There was talk of the soul—of finding beauty in resilience, in love, in laughter. And of course, there was fun. Because what’s more beautiful than the sound of people enjoying themselves?
And then, the very beautiful Nico Fox took the stage. As if summoned by the very theme of the night, she graced us with her extraordinary voice, singing songs that were as moving as they were beautiful. She also shared poetry—words woven with the kind of elegance that stays with you long after they’re spoken.
We laughed, we listened, we socialized. In the end, Because, Beauty reminded us that beauty is everywhere, in the stories we tell, in the connections we make, and in the simple act of being present.
Until next time, let’s keep looking for the beauty in everything.
