Gallery Particulier is thrilled to announce that curator, activist, and artist advocate Racquel Chevremont will curate our upcoming exhibition body positivity – gender euphoria.

Racquel has spent her career carving out space for artists whose voices too often go unheard. As an openly lesbian curator, she’s been a powerful advocate for queer visibility in the art world, and she brings both personal insight and professional depth to this project. Her curatorial vision has always been about more than just putting work on walls—it’s about creating room for people to see themselves, to feel affirmed, and to know that their stories matter.

This exhibition feels especially close to our hearts in a political situation that threatens diversity and the freedom of identity. Body Positivity – Gender Euphoria is about the joy of embodiment, about living fully in one’s skin, and about celebrating the many ways gender and identity can be expressed. Racquel’s leadership ensures that the show will be rooted in queer joy and liberation, while also opening up space for anyone who has ever struggled—or triumphed—in finding comfort and pride in who they are.

In Racquel’s own words:

“For me, curating this show is about creating a space where queer bodies and queer identities are not only seen but celebrated. Representation matters—but celebration matters too. Body Positivity – Gender Euphoria is about joy, freedom, and claiming the beauty of who we are.”

Being selected by Racquel Chevremont is a meaningful recognition—her curatorial voice is trusted and respected across the art world, and inclusion in this show signals that the work resonates on an important cultural level. For emerging artists, it offers visibility, credibility, and the opportunity to present their work in conversation with peers and mentors. For more established artists, it provides a fresh context that connects their practice to urgent contemporary conversations.

Additional information for artists about submitting art is here.

The show will run alongside Killer Queen Opera’s immersive production MADAM, which reclaims the story of Polly Adler, a woman who built her own world on the margins of society. With Racquel’s guidance, our gallery will become a space where performance and visual art meet in a conversation about resilience, freedom, and chosen family.

We can’t wait to welcome you into this exhibition and to celebrate the vision and brilliance Racquel brings to it.
