We have had a number of events and exhibits, but our Open House was the first time we were opening our space to the public. We were nervous!

It was so rewarding to have people stream through the space and really take the time to look at the artwork. The messages they took the time to write in the guestbook mean so much to us:
“Beautiful and meaningful work!” or “Love getting to know the community through this shared experience” or just “Thanks!!”

We got to connect with the beautiful vibrant community that is one of the riches of New York City. And we were instrumental in connecting this community with our artists and their paintings and sculptures and films: our mission!

We had two “artists in residence for the day”. Our very own wonderful Jessica Dalrymple who made sketches of plants in the garden, and enjoyed meeting the community.

And Donald Gray who brought his carefully composed collages and books to our space and shared them with our visitors.

We’re grateful to PLG Arts for organizing this Arts Fest with their usual dynamism and smarts.
