Matthew Perez gives us a personal look into his creative process when it becomes to beginning a painting. He describes the abstract and expressive elements he brings into his work, that he uses to create images untied to our reality. Using those elements with help of digital photography, he is able to bring the human body to life in unfamiliar ways in his paintings.
