Because, Beauty

March 18 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

On March 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM, Gallery Particulier will present Because, Beauty, a storytelling event at 281 Maple Street in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The event will explore the personal and cultural meanings of beauty, examining its role as a powerful and enduring force throughout human history. From the earliest cave paintings to the ways beauty enriches daily life, the evening will highlight how beauty shapes our understanding of the world and sustains us through creativity, connection, and imagination.

The event will feature personal stories from New Yorkers, reflecting on beauty in its many forms — from nature and art to compassion, friendship, and love. Comrade Cav, a prominent figure in Brooklyn’s music and creative communities, will host the evening, bringing his signature warmth and insight. In keeping with Collective Tales’ tradition, the event will also include an interactive activity, encouraging audience members to reflect on and share their own experiences with beauty. Because, Beauty follows Because, Resilience, a past storytelling event focused on immigration and social justice.
