The self-expression event Sing To The Moon at Gallery Particulier was vibrant, inviting, and warm. People of all gender identities and sexual orientations felt safe and welcome. We shared friendly conversations, ideas, and even moments of spiritual practice. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly when we sang to the moon together. It was exhilarating, liberating, and fun, as we bonded over letting go of the constraints of fitting within societal norms.
The enchanting Buddha Mei led the evening with her unique blend of creativity and spirituality. Using singing bowls and other instruments, she created a calming acoustic environment, guiding us with simple instructions to find our inner peace. It was a truly soothing and immersive experience that set the tone for the rest of the night.
As the evening unfolded, participants were encouraged to experiment with makeup, creating new looks. Many ended up painting each other, discovering how to let the sitter’s personality inspire the designs. It was a magical, collaborative experience—a night unlike any other, filled with warmth, connection, and creativity.
Gallery Particulier, a nonprofit organization, is all about bringing visual art to people. One of our standout initiatives allows individuals to host artworks in the comfort of their homes, free of charge, and without any commitments. It’s an opportunity to enjoy how a work of art can grow on you over the days and weeks. Arabella von Arx, the Gallery’s director, notes that the community loves attending the Gallery’s events, which are welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgmental.
