SUMMARY:Elliot Johnson: Recent Works
DESCRIPTION:Open Your Mind: A Visual Mixtape\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n February 7\, 2026\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Recent Works by Elliot Johnson\n \n \n \n \n \n 🗓 February 7\, 2026 | Opening5:00 to 7:00 PM\n📍281 Maple St.\, Brooklyn\n📧 contact@galleryparticulier.org\n \n \n \n \n \n Elliot Johnson’s drawings are made slowly and with care. Each work takes many hours to complete\, reflecting a deep commitment to process\, focus\, and imagination. Drawing has been a constant in Johnson’s life—both a creative practice and a way of navigating mental health challenges. \nHis imagery often depicts strong\, expressive women and draws from a wide range of influences\, including music\, hip-hop\, pop culture\, and Asian traditions\, whether Hinduism or Japanese visuals. Many of the figures are musicians or singers\, as a tribute to their talent\, and the joy they experience in performing. \nThis exhibition marks Johnson’s first solo show and a long-overdue moment to celebrate an artist who has spent much of his life developing a very personal and visually rich body of work. Figures in a Minor Key: A Visual Mixtape is also an invitation—to talk openly about mental health\, to support one another\, and to recognize creativity as a source of resilience and connection. \nSee his art here.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Follow us for updates:https://www.facebook.com/gallery.partihttps://twitter.com/GallParticulierhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/69569169/https://www.instagram.com/gallery.parti/

SUMMARY:City Frequencies: An evening of music\, ikebana and video
DESCRIPTION:City Frequencies\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n April 25\, 2026\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n An evening of music\, ikebana and video\n \n \n \n \n \n April 25\, 2026 | 7:00 to 9:30 PMFree\, donations encouraged!\nRSVP:https://www.eventbrite.com/e/city-frequencies-tickets \n\ncontact@galleryparticulier.org\n \n \n \n \n \n Let’s contemplate our relationship with space\, time and to exchange ideas. The three elements of video\, music and ikebana offer diverse perspectives on the relationship between the person (us) and the environment (the city). Come together at The Gallery Particulier in Flatbush\, Brooklyn for CRE 001\, the first event by Control Room East celebrating creative evolution in New York City. \nFor the musical element\, Imal Gnawa will grace us with their impactful\, meditative sounds. Imal Gnawa stands at the intersection of traditions rooted in the deep spiritual and rhythmic legacy of Moroccan Gnawa music and bold futurism. Imal Gnawa seeks to weave together tribal acoustic elements with futuristic aesthetics\, creating a soundscape that is as timeless as avant garde. Listen to Imal Gnawa at imalgnawa.bandcamp.com. \nFor the ikebana component\, Flower Heart Alliance contributes their imaginative arrangements. Flower Heart Alliance is a New York–based collective of ikebana artists dedicated to sharing the radical softness and transience of ikebana with everyone\, everywhere. Learn more about the collective at pine.flowers/fha. \nThe video element is provided by Control Room East through their new project\, Kite’s End. Kite’s End is a video about how creative evolution occurs in urban space\, rendering mundane space into the sacred. Creative evolution acts as the higher power and is progressed by turning what’s possible into something true. The primary goal of this experimental documentary is to cement the importance of skateboarding within the context of the city. See more from CRE at youtube.com/@ControlRoomEast \nRSVP by sending an email at contact@galleryparticulier.org \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Follow us for updates:https://www.facebook.com/gallery.partihttps://twitter.com/GallParticulierhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/69569169/https://www.instagram.com/gallery.parti/
