SUMMARY:Elliot Johnson: Recent Works
DESCRIPTION:Open Your Mind: A Visual Mixtape\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n February 7\, 2026\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Recent Works by Elliot Johnson\n \n \n \n \n \n 🗓 February 7\, 2026 | Opening5:00 to 7:00 PM\n📍281 Maple St.\, Brooklyn\n📧 contact@galleryparticulier.org\n \n \n \n \n \n Elliot Johnson’s drawings are made slowly and with care. Each work takes many hours to complete\, reflecting a deep commitment to process\, focus\, and imagination. Drawing has been a constant in Johnson’s life—both a creative practice and a way of navigating mental health challenges. \nHis imagery often depicts strong\, expressive women and draws from a wide range of influences\, including music\, hip-hop\, pop culture\, and Asian traditions\, whether Hinduism or Japanese visuals. Many of the figures are musicians or singers\, as a tribute to their talent\, and the joy they experience in performing. \nThis exhibition marks Johnson’s first solo show and a long-overdue moment to celebrate an artist who has spent much of his life developing a very personal and visually rich body of work. Figures in a Minor Key: A Visual Mixtape is also an invitation—to talk openly about mental health\, to support one another\, and to recognize creativity as a source of resilience and connection. \nSee his art here.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Follow us for updates:https://www.facebook.com/gallery.partihttps://twitter.com/GallParticulierhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/69569169/https://www.instagram.com/gallery.parti/

SUMMARY:Book Launch Party for Author-Musician Nico Fox
DESCRIPTION:Book Launch at Gallery Particulier\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n March 19\, 2026\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n At Least the Ocean Will Stay\n by Nico Fox\n \n \n \n \n \n 🗓 March 19\, 2026 | 5:00 to 7:00 PM\n📍281 Maple St.\, Brooklyn\n📧 contact@galleryparticulier.org\n \n \n \n \n \n We’re thrilled to welcome Nico Fox back to Gallery Particulier for the launch of her new book\, At Least the Ocean Will Stay. \nSupporting local talent is one aspect of our mission\, and Nico is someone our community already knows and loves. She has previously performed at the gallery and at the Parkline\, and we’ve watched her voice grow with clarity\, confidence\, and emotional range. She is a remarkable young creative whose work carries both sensitivity and strength. \nAt Least the Ocean Will Stay is a collection of poems and short prose exploring love\, loss\, memory\, and the routines that carry people forward. Water appears throughout the book as image and presence\, linking personal experience to wider emotional and social landscapes. The work moves between seriousness and humor\, tracing how intimacy changes over time and how ordinary moments hold meaning. \nNico Fox is a writer and musician based in Brooklyn. Her work bridges poetry and short prose\, examining intimacy and the emotional currents that shape contemporary life. She is the author of At Least the Ocean Will Stay (2026) and The Art of Transmutation (2021). In addition to her writing\, she makes music under the name Real Clothes\, with releases including Queen of Daisies EP\, Object-Oriented\, Modulation\, Apotheosis\, and Precaution. Her work explores vulnerability and the ways art can hold both tension and tenderness. \nPlease join us for an evening celebrating Nico’s writing\, her continued evolution as an artist\, and the power of community in celebrating local voices. We will take in her words while enjoying the beautiful art of Elliot Johnson in his solo exhibit\, Open Your Mind: A Visual Mixtape. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Follow us for updates:https://www.facebook.com/gallery.partihttps://twitter.com/GallParticulierhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/69569169/https://www.instagram.com/gallery.parti/
